One of my favourite things to fight off any January blues is to sit and browse the most anticipated hotel openings for the year. Not only does it satisfy my love of beautiful interiors and design aesthetics (even more so now I’m dreaming up plans for my new house), but it also means I’m up to date with what’s happening in the luxury travel sphere. Meaning I’m always able to make sure my clients are one-step-ahead of the crowds.
So without further a do, here’s which hotels have caught my eye for 2026…
Europe Hotels
Vestige Can Jordi Formentera, Spain – Opening Summer 26

If you didn’t know already, Formentera (in my opinion) is the Balearic’s best kept secret! To reach the island you need to take a short ferry from Ibiza Town, but once there, you’ll feel a world away from the partying crowd. Much akin to a 1970’s Ibiza, you’ll be greeted with laid-back bohemian vibes, alongside touches of luxury. Vestige Can Jordi is located on Cala Saona – one of the best beaches on the island. A small sandy cove, flanked by cliffs and dazzling crystal clear waters. Following in typical Vestige style, guests will feel instantly at home amongst modern, neutral interiors with touches of rustic materials which flow seamlessly out to the exteriors and surrounding landscape.
Airelles Palladio Venice – Opening April 2026

Airelles Palladio Venice will be the group’s first property opening outside of France. Located on the island of Giudecca, guests will be able to enjoy views of Saint Marks Basilica from across the canal, while simultaneously discovering the ‘secret side’ of Venice. Set across three historic buildings in two acres of private gardens, stand out features such as; a restored 16th century church, three restaurants and three swimming pools set the stall that it’s a hotel meant to stand out (and away) from the Venetian crowds.
Orient Express Venezia, Palazzo Donà Giovannelli – Opening April 2026

Staying in Venice but venturing across the city – Orient Express Venezia is a property I’m very excited for. Last year the iconic brand launched La Dolce Vita Orient Express Train and Orient Express La Minerva in Rome. Both have been receiving rave reviews from guests, and so I’m expecting the same from their newest venture in Venice. The 15th century Venetian palace has undergone eight years of transformative renovations by architect Aline Asmar d’Amman. Guests can expect to be dazzled by; gilded ballrooms, original Italian frescos, tranquil courtyards and an impressive arrival by private boat through a stunning Gothic water gate.
Zannier Ile De Bendor, France – Opening May 2026

Set on Île de Bendor, one of the French Riviera’s most beautiful private islands, Zannier Île Bendor is anticipated to be the new opening in the south of France. The ethos is convivial – friendly, warm, lively – a place for social, culinary and wellness connections. The 93 rooms and suites will be located over three areas with their own distinctive styles. Soukana is all about nature; Delos brings back a French 60s vibe, while Madrague is most appealing to families with its charming two-story Madrague houses. With the charming village of Bandol only a 7-minute boat ride away, guests needn’t fear isolation, local life isn’t far from reach. Whilst those craving to be ‘away from it all’ will have plenty to keep them occupied in resort – three restaurants, four bars, a creperie and flagship wellness centre are all partie du cours.
Six Senses London – Opening March 2026

Located inside The Whiteley (London’s first department store), Six Senses, the brand known for its wellness offerings, will find their first home in London. Located in Bayswater, a stone’s throw away from Notting Hill, guests will be invited to slow down after embracing the action of the capital. The 109 rooms are designed to calm the senses, as is the expansive spa, complete with it’s 20 metre pool – a rarity in London hotel scene. I can’t wait to a sneak peek when I’m next in town.
Middle East Hotels
The Malkai Oman – Opening Autumn/Winter 2026

I’m breaking the format here, as The Malkai isn’t singular hotel. It’s rather the culmination of a decades-long dream of one local family – to curate an epic journey through their homeland, the beautiful state of Oman. Led by your dedicated Murshid (guide), your immersion beings in the farmlands of Barkaa, before moving on to the dramatic landscapes of the Hajar mountains, and reaching it’s conclusion in the rolling sand dunes of the Sharqiyah desert. Luxurious tented pavilions will accommodate you throughout this 7-night adventure. And while the route may be set, all experiences will be perfectly tailored to you. It’s sure to be one of those ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunities.
The Mangroves Abu Dhabi by LXR Hotels and Resorts – Opening March 2026

For returning guests to Abu Dhabi or indeed those looking to be away from the hustle of the renowned tourist areas, The Mangroves could be just the ticket. Located along the calm lagoons of Mangrove Marine National Park, guests will enjoy a calm and peaceful setting while still having all the city’s main attractions within reach.
Asia Hotels
Four Seasons Hanoi, Vietnam – Opening April 2026

Four Seasons Hanoi will be the second Vietnamese venture for the brand. Located on the fringes of Hoan Kiem Lake, its position is near perfect for easy, walkable access to the heart of this bustling city. Museums, art galleries, restaurants and the Old and French Quarters are mere steps away. Twin a stay with Four Seasons Nam Hai in Hoi An for a perfect start to your journey through Vietnam.
Capella Kyoto – Opening March 2026

With the city of Kyoto featuring on most travellers’ ‘tick-list’ when visiting Japan (and rightfully so), a stay at the new Capella Kyoto should absolutely feature on your itinerary. Nestled in the heart of Gion, the hotels’ location is ideal for guests who are hoping to immerse themselves in the tradition and harmony of Japanese geisha (geiko) culture. The four-storey building blends with it’s surroundings, and all spaces within the property will celebrate Kyoto’s refined heritage. As part of Capella Curates – a selection of purposefully crafted experiences – there are plans to introduce a complimentary moment with a maiko, a highly sought after experience that usually comes at great expense.
North & Central America Hotels
The Huntington Hotel, Nob Hill, San Francisco – Opening March 2026

The hotel that has always been somewhat of a San Fransisco icon, is re-opening its doors this spring following an extensive renovation and transfer of ownership. The elegant, Georgian styled 71 guest rooms and 72 suites will welcome guests back to the sophisticated neighbourhood of Nob Hill, as will the infamous The Big Four restaurant and stunning three-storey spa.
The Vineta by Oetker Hotels, Palm Beach, Florida – Opening March 2026

Looking to relax in luxury following an adrenaline fuelled time in Orlando’s theme parks? Well The Vineta by Oetker Hotels could be just the place. Located on Coconut Row in the heart of Palm Beach, a destination famed for its restaurant scene and designer boutiques. If the pink-hues of Vineta’s facade aren’t enough to draw you in then Coco’s, it’s destination restaurant, surely will. With both the marina and beach only a few blocks away, it’s the perfect spot for socialising and people watching.
Amanvari, Mexico – Opening in Spring 2026

Situated on the Baja’s East Cape, Amanvari will feature a mix of the hotel resort, private residences, destination dining and Aman Spa. With its name derived from Sanskrit works meaning ‘peace’ & ‘water’ – guests can expect a true convergence of nature, ocean and culture.
Africa Hotels
Singita Elela, Okavango Delta, Botswana – Opening mid-late 2026

As a long standing fan of what Singita does to elevate conservation and ecotourism standards in Africa, I was very happy to hear that they are expanding their efforts to Botswana. Singita Elela will honour a commitment to preserve the Delta’s rich diversity and educate visitors on the importance of protecting such a delicate ecosystem. Eight stilted camps (one to four bedrooms), will accommodate guests. Each will come with incredible views over the flooded grasslands and no doubt decorated in Singita’s signature style.
La Reserve, Praslin, Seychelles – Opening Summer 2026

The beautiful Seychelles island of Praslin will be home to the newest hotel in the La Reserve portfolio. Made up of just six private villas, each with four to six bedrooms, this will be the place for multi-generational families and groups of friends to relax in paradise. Direct access to pristine white sands, turquoise waters, or private pools if you prefer, will come with exceptional personalised service.
Australia Hotels
Qualia, Hamilton Island, Australia – Re-opened January 2026

Refreshed following a complete renovation, Qualia is an oasis of Australian style perched on the northern tip of Hamilton Island – the hub of the Whitsundays archipelago. It’s the perfect base for exploring the Great Barrier reef or venturing to world renowned Whitehaven Beach by boat or scenic flight. Meanwhile, golfers will love the 18-hole championship course on neighbouring Dent Island.
So what do we think? Have any of these fabulous new properties caught your attention? I’d love to hear from you if so. I’ll be sure to try and secure you the best introductory rates!
Until next time,
