Welcome to my Travel Journal

This is where I share my travel tips, experiences, news and day to day office life. Take a look and let me know if anything catches your eye.

Photos don't do the colours justice but always feel like this could be the Algarve looking through these trees down to the sea half way up Llanbedrog headland. ...

Thank you Team One & Only Portonovi for a fabulous webinar to launch this stunning new resort opening in Montenegro on 1st May this year.

For fabulous riviera views
Private sandy beach
Exquisite dining
State of the art medical spa
Stylish and spacious accommodation open year round, this place needs to be on your 2021/22 travel wish list.

It's definitely on mine! 😉

P.S. The @louisroederer_ Champagne & @fortnums Champagne Truffles are going down a bit too well for 5pm on a Tuesday 🙈

Plume of ash from La Soufriere Volcano (in St Vincent) latest explosion this morning as seen from Jade Mountain in St Lucia 😱

Beautiful but terrifying at the same time!

Really hope it settles soon with minimal loss of life 😢

Thanks to @saintvincentgrenadines for sharing such regular updates on the aftermath of the recent volcano eruption.

So important to create awareness - this image shows the effect weight of the ash has had on the palm trees which although a sorry sight now, will result in rich, fertile soil in the future.

Good luck to all of the business' re-opening today. From high street travel agents to hairdressers, beauticians and our fabulous Chester Zoo.

Photo from our neighbour Chris who looks after the gorgeous camels 🐪

What a race, what a horse and what a jockey!

How amazing were Rachael Blackmore and Minella Times, trained by Henry de Bromhead.

First female jockey to win the Grand National 💪

Chuffed to have had a little each way bet too 😉

Rest in Peace HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. What a shame to just miss his 100th birthday but 99, what an amazing age and what a remarkable life of service. ...

Comfort food and wine to soften the blow of Boris' very non-committal update on international travel in today's government announcement.

Don't worry, it will be worth waiting for and I will continue to keep abreast of things as and when more detail is released.

The Easter Bunny came 🐰 ...

It's not Abersoch but cheers to blue skies 🥂🥂🥂 Waiting for @nikki.fidling
Missing @lines_robinson x

Soaking up some rays on this beautiful sunny day 😎 ...

I will definitely be tuning into this live chat on @henryprideauxinteriordesign with Bee Osborn @osborninteriors @studioosborn at 12.30 tomorrow (Thursday 1st April).

Henry is a hugely talented London based designer and partner of my lovely friend @amy_paice and Bee is an internationally renowned private home and hotel designer who's projects include one of my favourite chic, boutique hotels @hotelletoinystbarth

Check out Henry and Bee's accounts for some major interiors envy and inspiration.

Both have their own unique styles so if you're planning a project (private or corporate), these guys are worth looking up.

You learn something new every day thanks to historians like @thehistoryguy who just posted a similar image to this - I thought it was some kind of Maldivian inspired water villa hotel in the UK 🙈

History Hits Documentary coming soon but in the meantime....

The Maunsell Forts are armed towers built in the Thames & Mersey estuaries during the Second World War to help defend the United Kingdom. They were operated as army and navy forts, and named after their designer, Guy Maunsell. The forts were decommissioned in the late 1950s and later used for other activities including pirate radio broadcasting. One of the forts is managed by the unrecognised Principality of Sealand.
Boats visit the remaining forts occasionally, and a consortium called Project Redsands is planning to conserve the fort situated at Red Sands.

Love discovering new and interesting places to stay, especially when they're in one of my favourite destinations, SRI LANKA.

Sri Lanka are going great guns with their Covid vaccination programme and are slowly opening up for tourism again.

@karpaha_sands is located on the East Coast where the weather is pretty peachy in our summer months so perfect for a family holiday when combined with a classic Cultural Triangle itinerary.

With romantic safari style tents dotted throuought the lush grounds for couples, 2 bedroom lodges for families and the most stunning stretch of palm fringed beach, this is a grown ups and children's natural playground.

Love a happy ending ❤

Been thinking about these beautiful black labs and their poor family @therobsons since I heard they were stolen in Natwich.

Well done to @cheshirepolice for finding and reuniting them.

I'll be keeping even more of an eye on ours from now on!

The owners of these beautiful black labs @therobsons must be beside themselves. How can people be so cruel - really hope they are reunited soon. ...

Lovely walk up Delamere Old Pale this morning.

Taking a wrong turn up a very slippy mountain bike trail instead of an actual path was a comedy moment 😆

Cheers to the weekend and Friday Zoom Drinks to celebrate making the #carrier30 🥂🥂🥂 ...

Loving this series @pizzaboysadv @bbctwo

I think most of us would agree with this @casamigos 🍹🍹🍹 ...

The perfect beach set up @vakkarumaldives

As soon as we are able to travel safely, the Maldives is sure to be top of many people's destination wish list.

With white sand and turquoise sea for miles, social distancing is no problem here.

Fancy hopping between islands? With a simple in-resort PCR test 3 days prior to moving your wish is our command!

@casamigos Tequila Beach Bar @jumbybayresort The sundowners spot dreams are made of now, more than ever. ...

Just when we thought travel might resume from 17th May, it looks unlikely we'll be able to hop on a plane until 1st July at the earliest.

I have contacted clients due to travel in June this morning and delighted they are happy to wait until 12th April for further clarification before postponing rather than cancelling their plans.

For anyone due to travel from 1st July onwards, let's keep everything crossed but as always, if travel is not possible, I will be on hand to amend or cancel arrangements depending on the terms agreed at time of booking.

New enquiries can be taken for travel from 1st July onwards with booking terms clearly explained, lowest possible deposit and as much flexibility as possible.

Laid back luxury lounging @okuhotels KOS. Who's coming with me? ...

Lusting over @lopud.1483 this morning.

How dreamy is this set-up @chevalblancstbarth

If I could click my fingers and be there right now...
