A morning well spent! First planting mangrove to help regenerate the ecosystem here in Khao Lak since the devastating 2004, Boxing Day Tsunami, followed by a visit to the memorial centre and a drive by the hospital also used in the brilliant but harrowing film `The Impossible`.
We then stopped by the local market (the cat was alive and well, just taking a snooze!`, before visiting a beautiful temple to wish away anything unwanted in our lives 🙏

Absolutely loving being back in the `land of smiles` for the first time in about 27 years!! with this lovely bunch.
Exploring the islands off Phuket including Laem Hed, Hong island and Lagoon today - all in a day`s work 😉
So good to see these magnificent, ex working & performing ellies enjoying a much happier life in their later years since being rescued by @phuketelephantsanctuary - working towards zero contact with their sky walk i.e. no feeding or close interaction, this is one sanctuary doing things right.
Visiting will help them reach this goal, rescue more ellies, cover facility upkeep, cost of feed and vet bills.
