On Thursday I was invited by @markatwaterstone @waterstone_collection to join the Spring Business and Wellness Day by @wildandwildevents @capesthorne_hall
I wasn`t quite sure what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised!
We were welcomed with delicious healthy drinks and flowers from @activitdrinks before browsing the carefully selected stalls including @jillreevesreflexology who gave me a session of ear seed acupuncture - highly recommend!
We then sat down to a short meditation and truly inspiring talk with @gemmamerna around setting life and business goals, responding rather than reacting to situations, how to conduct yourself to signal confidence and authority and the benefits of sticking to daily routines and prioritising yourself.
Before enjoying a delicious, light lunch from @crackersandbrie @aprildawnwild lead a yoga session and @gemmamerna treated us to a dreamy sound bath - I fell asleep!
The day concluded with a catch up with @markatwaterstone and his hoteliers from @euphoriaretreat @preidlhof & @borgobrufa and a talk from @aprildawnwild on the importance of consistent social media presence.
I came away feeling energised and uplifted amidst a challenging time in the travel industry.
Thank you to all involved in putting this very special day together 🙏
Even if you don`t stay at the fabulous NEW Don Carlos Marbella, you MUST visit my favourite hot spot, Bar & Restaurant Manero for cocktails, lunch or dinner.
The food, drinks, service and atmosphere are top notch 👌
It`s always fun to split a trip up, staying in different places...On our recent `mother daughter` trip to Spain, we enjoyed 2 nights at a more adult focused hotel near Estepona, followed by 2 nights at the NEW Hotel Don Carlos near Marbella.
When I say new, this is actually a well established and respected hotel but it has been given a new lease of life and major face-lift under new ownership.
Don Carlos is now a super stylish, family friendly hotel boasting an impressive choice of high end dining outlets, access to the fabulous Lucia beach club, huge heated pool, state of the art spa, sprawling gardens, kids club AND a Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre.
You can even choose between the elegantly feminine rooms in the `tower`, the more contemporary style rooms in the spa building or, residences with dedicated pool.
This place has a soul, a real sense of place and somewhere you`ll want to return to year after year due to hugely warm and attentive team.
We loved the fact we could walk down to Lucia and Nikki Beach Clubs as we all other, independent chiringuitos. It`s also a nice sandy stretch of beach for sea swimming or making sandcastles!
The rates for this summer, their first full season since re-opening, are pretty attractive so get in touch to book before everyone finds out about Marbella`s new, best kept secret!
Lucia Marbella by Nikki Beach - one of the prettiest beach clubs I ever did see and with delicious eats, drinks and super friendly service too.
Even the bathrooms are pretty!
Check it out next time you`re in Marbella or better still, stay at the NEW Don Carlos for inclusive access 🍹🍹🍹
It`s been over 16 years since last in Estepona and it has had a major glow up! Pretty cobbled streets and squares, a car free sea front and so many great shops, bars and restaurants. Definitely worth a visit next time you`re in the Marbella area.
My 16 year old daughter and I recently spent a few days in Marbella for a little pre-GCSE break.
We spent the first couple of days staying at the fabulous METT Marbella near Estepona.
This is a really stylish beachfront hotel, geared up for adults, welcoming over 12s.
Boasting a small spa, Isola Italian and Ammos Greek restaurants plus a cool pool facing bar, it`s the perfect place to kick back and chill out.
In the higher summer season, a sophisticated beach club vibe kicks in.
We loved our light, airy, modern, sea view suite with huge balcony to enjoy a morning coffee and pre-dinner glass of fizz, the poolside light lunch menu and cycling into Estepona on the hotel`s e-bikes.
If you are craving a few days away within a 3 hour flight and 45 minute transfer, get in touch and I`ll get you booked in!
Such a fun evening lead by Hannah from Brush and Tipple at Vicars Cross Golf Club - quite impressed with my masterpiece as a non-artist.
Thanks Lucy for organising - just need to brush up on my golf skills now 🫣
